As a movement that aims for inner growth at individual and collective levels, we offer a multitude of courses, workshops, and resources to support any seeker on their journey to independent joy. These opportunities nurture the clarity, conviction, and confidence needed to transform ourselves and, in turn, transform our communities.
We Provide Vedantic Studies
.A study group is a group of five to fifteen people who meet regularly to discuss one of the Vedantic texts. All members of the group participate equally, with one of them being a Coordinator. Poojya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda put the highest emphasis on participation in study groups by all sincere seekers. It aims to provide the wisdom of Vedanta and the practical means for spiritual growth and happiness, to individuals from any background, enabling them to become positive contributors to society. Study Group members are those who study the scriptures because they have a thirst to imbibe and benefit from the perennial wisdom of the rishis.
Bala Vihar
Bala Vihar is a group of children, meeting once a week, at a set venue, for 60-90 minutes, for the sole purpose of learning our precious culture, spiritual wisdom, and related values through stories, games, quizzes, crafts, bhajans, hymns, shlokas, skits, dances, etc. Bala Vihar inculcates the values of Sanatana Dharma, as taught in our scriptures-Shrimad Bhagavad Geeta, Upanishads, Epics and Puranas-helping us to grow into responsible citizens of tomorrow.
Spiritual Camps
CMW is pleased to announce and invite you to Chinmaya Mission’s upcoming spiritual camps. CM camps are a wonderful way to introduce new Mission members to the beauty and vastness of the Chinmaya Family, to meet like-minded persons and share ideas in the spirit of satsang and teamwork, and to dive into the timeless wisdom of Advaita Vedanta, which teaches universal Oneness. All are welcome to come share in the profound spiritual experiences of CM camps and retreats worldwide, to learn, grow, and serve in divine love and light. Om Tat Sat.

Chinmaya Mission Northwest Indiana provides individuals, from any background, the wisdom of Self development, and the practical means for spiritual growth. We are part of Chinmaya Mission, an international non-profit organization working to transform individuals through the knowledge of Vedanta.
How We Began
The Chinmaya Mission Northwest Indiana Center was established in 2002. It has now evolved into an organization serving the entire Indian community in Northwest Indiana. Chinmaya Mission is an excellent opportunity for spiritual learning.
